Toy de Jour (206) - Ejector Transformer (Revenge of the Fallen line)

I don't normally buy Transformers Movie toys but... HE'S A TOASTER!!

Ejector was always one of the figures I forgot to purchase when the Revenge of the Fallen toyline was on shelves. I was lucky to spot him at a CVS recently since they don't move product very often. I don't think he specifically made an appearance in RotF but they do zap a lot of small appliances with some power source that makes them come alive and start going crazy. If he did appear it was probably in the Witwicky household near the beginning of the movie.

Toy de Jour (205) - MotUC Fearless Photog figure

If you're not familiar with Fearless Photog, that might be because he's not a real character. Well I guess now he is. But he was part of a "create a character" contest back in the 80s and he was the winning submission. I believe the winner got a one of a kind figure (possibly, I don't know, check he-man.org for more info) but they never released him as part of the main line until now.

Now everyone has your giant camera-headed figure, Nathan. Thanks.

This was one of the first figures for the 30th Anniversary celebration for Masters of the Universe.

Toy de Jour (204) - Character Building blind box Micro Figures

Since I've been on a blind-box kick with the mass-produced Lego and Playmobil figures I had no choice but to grab a few of these knock-offs at Target when I was checking out the other day. I got the swat guy and "rare" astronaut first. But when I saw the zombie on the list I knew I'd keep buying until I had him. Luckily that was the next time I went to the store. I believe the exact thing I said out loud alone in the car while in the parking lot was "That's the best thing that could've happened!" as I forgot that I was trying to get this guy.

They're compatible with Legos of course, but just a bit off with that off-brand feel to them. I love the ones I got, but I doubt I'll pick up more.

I should mention that this company is also releasing the mini Doctor Who figures that have been announced. The company is Jonic, or JDNA, the company that also does the GoGo's blind packaged figures.

Toy de Jour (203) - Playmobil Special figure

I've recently really taken to Playmobil figures (especially the Ghost Pirates) and ever since I saw this guy on PlasticFetish.net I've wanted to get him myself. Unlike the new blind packaged Fi?ures series they're doing, the Specials are shown on the packaging and available from their site. It took me a while to figure that one out and grabbed it as soon as I saw it. I'll be posting some of the other figures I've gotten recently soon. I can't stand how awesome some Playmobil figures are, I love the company for their figures and simple packaging designs.

Daily Shot 202 - Vinylmation figures (Sally & Urban Series 7 Chaser)

I've passed on these guys for the longest time, because I don't care to own vinyl versions of most Disney characters, but I saw something neat at the Disney store that made me interested in picking one up. The Disney store (in Chicago at least) had a case up front at the register that had three open figures that you could trade for if one of the blind box figures you got wasn't one that you liked. I picked up a figure from the Animation #2 (I got Tinkerbell) and quickly traded it for the neat looking (albeit beat up) Urban Series 7 Chaser figure by Doug Strayer. It's a pretty cool concept to let people trade out for figures that they can see, and that might even bring people back to the store to check out that display to see if there's anything in there that they want.

The only reason I picked up Sally is because I saw her very cheap somewhere else, other than the Disney store. I as a rule don't collection Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, though I like the designs.  I might end up selling these figures soon though.
