TDJ002 - Goomba Vinyl - Super Mario Bros. DX3 by Nintendo

That's right, we're back!

The camera was beyond repair but they sent us a gift card for the full amount and we went that day to replace it. Here's the ironic part now, we have a camera and can take tons o' pictures, but after a extensive search (looked in one box in the hall closet) I can't seem to find the Goomba Vinyl figure anywhere. It's been packed up since I changed offices and brought a bunch of toys home.

So we did the only thing the only thing we could think of, we stole pictures. That's right! But we also watermarked the images with the logo of the store that these were taken from, and we're going to link to the store's site as many times as we can in this posting. So head on over to Rotofugi.com, they can't find their Goomba Vinyl right now either, but there's a huge selection of vinyl on their site to choose from.

Our Goomba came to us about a little over a year ago after our friend, Sean came back from his home town of Ann Arbor bearing gifts. The vinyl quality is some of the best I've ever seen - I'm guessing Nintendo doesn't skimp when it comes to things like this.

He stands about 6 inches tall and though he lacks articulation, he has a very good sculpt giving him a powerful presence that makes displaying him in any spot a focal point once he's there.

I really like that the fact that the plastic that makes up his eyebrows extend from the main body as separate pieces. There was a lot of attention to detail with this figure and with such a basic design, it's a testament to the sculptor's work. I got all that from an eyebrow.

So when I actually locate this guy, he's definitely going up for display again.

The sub-level Goomba photoshop job was just a prediction on my part, and not too far off if I know repaints like I do. At least I hope so, I'm a sucker for repaints. :)

Hey. This is Liz. I was trying to fall asleep on the couch when I had one final urge to roll over and check my myspace. Lo and behold! An unfinished blog posting! Don't mind if I do.

Although Sam uses the terms "our" and "us" to describe this toy we "share," I have yet to spend more than five minutes with this Goomba. He kept Sam company at work everyday. Out of jealousy of the time they shared day after day, I gave the Goomba to a friend's dog and tattooed a few of him on my arm to remind Sam what I am capable of.

Goodnite.
